The 58th Baeksang Art Awards have found their owners! Here are the winners!
The 58th Baeksang Art Awards were held in Ilsan City, South Korea this year. The presenters of the award ceremony were Shin Dong Yup, Suzy and Park Bo Gum. For Park Bo Gum, who was on military service last year, this award ceremony was the first event he attended after his military service.
The winner of the Grand Prize in the field of television was Squid Game, which made a worldwide impact, while the director of the series, Hwang Dong Hyuk, was awarded the Best Director award and the art director of the series, Jung Jae II, was awarded the Best Art Director award.
Another production that could not get enough of the awards was D.P. The series was awarded the Best Drama award. In addition, Jo Hyun Chul, who
stood out with his striking performance in the series, won the Best Supporting Actor award; Another shining name Goo Kyo won the Best New Actor award
In the field of cinema, the Grand Prize went to director Ryu Seung Wan for Escape From Mogadishu. Again, the Best Film award went to Escape From Mogadishu and the Best Art Director award went to the film’s art director Choi Young Hwan.
Another production that made a sound in the field of cinema was King Maker, which received awards in three different categories. The film’s director Byun Sung Hyun won the Best Director award, Sol Kyung Gu won the Best Actor award, and Jo Woo Jin won the Best Supporting Actor award.
In the field of theatre, Turkish March won the Baeksang Play Award, while Park Wan Gyu won the Best Actor award and Hwang Soon Mi won the Best Actress award.
