Our interview with V01D, who reflects their magnificent passion for music onto the stage!
Bringing the passion for music they have held since a young age to the stage, V01D is securing a solid place for themselves in the global music scene with their pop-rock style and powerful cover projects. Consisting of Kevin, Jiseob, Juyeon, Uchan, and Shinnosuke, this talented group draws attention with their strong team spirit and cinematic concept goals. In this intimate interview, we talked about the group’s future plans, new album preparations, and other fun topics. We hope you enjoy reading.
1.First of all, I would like to say hello to all of you! What have the V01D members been up to lately? How have you been?
V01D: Hello! We are V01D. Lately, we’ve been practicing a lot, working on music, and preparing many things to show better performances and songs to our fans. We’re all doing well and trying our best every day while enjoying the journey together!
2.The covers you have released are absolutely amazing! Are there any other songs you would like to cover in the future?
V01D: Thank you so much! We’re really happy that people enjoy our covers. We would love to try more band-style songs and emotional tracks in the future. We also want to show our own color through different genres and rearrangements.
3.What is the one song you cannot stop listening to these days?
V01D: Recently, we’ve been listening to a lot of emotional band music and pop rock songs. The members all have different tastes, so we often recommend songs to each other too!
4.How did you decide to become idols? When did you first take a step toward your dreams?
V01D: We all loved music and performing from a young age. As we spent more time with music, we naturally started dreaming about standing on stage and connecting with people through our performances. There are so many amazing and diverse artists who we want to collaborate with, but perhaps collaborating with a member of a band we really like such as Matthew Healy of The 1975! That would be so cool and memorable.
5.Let’s say you could switch places with another member for one day. Which member would it be and why?
Kevin: I would like to switch places with Shinnosuke for a day because I’m curious about what he thinks about and how he sees the world in his daily life.
Jiseob: I would choose Uchan hyung. I want to know what it feels like to live with such a great body like his He’s also one of the most hardworking people I know, and I really want to learn that kind of discipline from him.
Juyeon: I would also choose Uchan hyung. We practically live together every day, and I can confidently say that his physique was definitely not built easily Whether at home or at the gym, he’s constantly working out. He’s honestly addicted to exercise.
Uchan: I would like to switch places with Jiseob because I want to become better at playing guitar. I think it would be really fun to experience his talent and skills for a day.
Shinnosuke: I would like to switch places with Kevin because I admire his English skills and keyboard playing. I think it would be really interesting to experience those abilities myself.
6.What can your fans look forward to in the near future? A comeback, an album, or perhaps something else?
V01D: We’re preparing many exciting things right now! We hope to show more performances, new music, and different sides of V01D very soon, so please look forward to it.
7.Is there a concept that makes you say, “I definitely want to try this someday!”?
V01D: We would love to try a darker and more cinematic band concept someday. Something emotional but powerful at the same time.
8.Although you are still at the beginning of your journey, you already have a wonderful fanbase! Are you excited for the future? Where would you like to see yourselves in the next 2-3 years?
V01D: We’re really thankful for all the love and support we receive. In the next few years, we hope more people can discover our music and that we can meet our fans through concerts and tours around the world.
9.Could you tell us a little about your songwriting and production process? How do you overcome difficulties?
V01D: We usually share ideas together and build songs little by little. Sometimes it can be stressful, but we try to communicate a lot and remind ourselves why we started making music in the first place.

11.Has any member ever tried Turkish food before? If so, which dish did you try, and did you enjoy it?
V01D: Some of us have tried Turkish kebab before, and we really enjoyed it! We would love to try more Turkish food someday
12.Lastly, what would you like to say to your fans in Türkiye who love and support you?
V01D: To our fans in Türkiye, thank you so much for supporting and loving us from far away. Your messages and support give us a lot of strength every day. We hope we can meet you in person someday! We love you.
