Our interview with NTX, the “Performance Monsters” of the K-pop world.
Their music is shaped by the hands of their main producer, Raw Hyun, who handles the production of their tracks. While the leader and main vocalist Hyeong Jin defines the group’s vocal character, main vocalist and main dancer Yun Hyeok takes their stage presence to the peak. The group’s vocal strength is deepened by the characteristic voices of Xiha, Hojun, and Eun Ho, while Chang Hun and the group’s maknae, Seung Won, make the songs soar with their dynamic rap performances. Our interview, where we discuss the NTX members’ future plans, musical journeys, and everything you’re curious about, is here with you!
1. Hello everyone! First of all, could you introduce yourselves to us?
HYEONGJIN: Hello, I’m Hyeongjin, the leader of NTX. I really want to try Turkish ice cream, haha!
YUNHYEOK: Hi, I’m Yunhyeok, the main vocal and main dancer. I represent the energy of the group.
XIHA: Hello, I’m Xiha, in charge of dance and the center position in NTX.
CHANGHUN: Hello, I’m Changhun, and I handle the rap position.
HOJUN: Hello, I’m Hojun, a vocalist in NTX.
RAWHYUN: Hello, I’m Rawhyun, the group’s producer!
EUNHO: Hello, I’m Eunho, the lead vocal of NTX.
SEUNGWON: Hello, I’m Seungwon. I’m in charge of rap and dance, and I’m also the youngest member (maknae) of the group.
2. What has life been like for you lately? Can you tell us a bit about your daily routine?
HYEONGJIN: Lately, I’ve been going through a busy period with music production and concert preparations. I also make an effort to communicate with our fans frequently.
YUNHYEOK: Honestly, I’m quite busy with comeback and concert prep. My daily schedule is packed with rehearsals, production, filming, and working out.
XIHA: My days usually consist of rehearsals, practice, and exercise. It’s a very busy but productive routine.
CHANGHUN: Since we are in a comeback period, the pace is high, but I find every day very fulfilling.
HOJUN: I’m rehearsing intensely for our winter concert planned for the end of the year. I also spend quality time with our fans whenever I get the chance.
RAWHYUN: Right now, I’m completely focused on concert preparations. In my free time, I prioritize communicating with our fans.
EUNHO: Between the comeback, broadcasts, and concert prep, it’s been a very hectic process.
SEUNGWON: Since the final concert of the year is approaching, I spend my days constantly rehearsing and making preparations.
3. Hmm… So, do you find dance rehearsals or studio recordings more challenging?
HYEONGJIN: I’d say dance rehearsals. Our performances are physically demanding and require serious effort to achieve group synchronization.
YUNHYEOK: Dance rehearsals.
XIHA: The recording process isn’t too hard for me, but memorizing choreographies can be challenging sometimes.
CHANGHUN: Dance rehearsals. When we work on many songs at once, it can be mentally exhausting too.
HOJUN: I think dance rehearsals are a bit more challenging.
RAWHYUN: Dance rehearsals. Achieving harmony as a group requires both time and emotional energy.
EUNHO: Dance rehearsals.
SEUNGWON: Personally, I find dance rehearsals more difficult.
4. Is there a specific concept you definitely want to try in the future?
HYEONGJIN: I’d like to try a wilder and more powerful concept.
YUNHYEOK: I want to present a synth-pop or pop-based style with our own unique twist.
XIHA: I’d love to portray a striking and “crazy” character on stage, something like the Joker.
CHANGHUN: A hip-hop concept, paired with powerful choreography.
HOJUN: I’d like to try an album concept that includes solo tracks. I also want to do another energetic song that everyone can enjoy together.
RAWHYUN: Hip-hop, but with a calmer and more “chill” approach.
EUNHO: I’d also like to try a purer and more emotional concept.
SEUNGWON: A hip-hop concept! We’ve done it before, but I want to try it again.
5. Who do you think embodied the concept best in your latest comeback?
HYEONGJIN: Rawhyun! His aura on stage was very impressive.
YUNHYEOK: Hojun.
XIHA: I think it was me, but Hyeongjin-hyung was great too!
CHANGHUN: Xiha! He uses his facial expressions very effectively.
HOJUN: Xiha.
RAWHYUN: Yunhyeok-hyung! He had been waiting for this concept for a long time and prepared very well for it.
EUNHO: Xiha-hyung.
SEUNGWON: Xiha-hyung.
6. Your social media presence is very eye-catching! Who is the member that adapts best to trending videos?
HYEONGJIN: Xiha! He analyzes dances very well and adapts them to fit every trend.
YUNHYEOK: Me (Yunhyeok).
XIHA: I’d say myself, but Yunhyeok-hyung is also quite successful.
CHANGHUN: I’d say me. I love filming trends as soon as I see them.
HOJUN: Rawhyun.
RAWHYUN: Yunhyeok and Xiha catch onto trends very well.
EUNHO: Yunhyeok-hyung.
SEUNGWON: Rawhyun-hyung.
How do you keep up with such a demanding idol schedule?
HYEONGJIN: Exercise, vitamins, and our fans! If any of these three are missing, my energy isn’t complete.
YUNHYEOK: Good chemistry between the members and the staff, a balanced diet, and spending fun time together makes everything possible.
7. Finally, if you could collaborate with another idol or group, who would it be?
HYEONGJIN: I would love to collaborate with NCT.
YUNHYEOK: Jaydo!
