Our Interview with Seunghun
PERCENT’s talented dancer Seunghun, better known as DIEM, sat down with us to answer all your burning questions! Dance enthusiasts, this interview is just for you!

1.To begin with, could you introduce yourself?
Seunghun: I’m a dancer who goes by the name Diem! My real name is Seunghun.
2. How many years have you been dancing professionally?
Seunghun: To be precise, I’ve been dancing professionally for about six years.
3. Let’s go back in time a little! How did you decide to become a dancer? How did you discover your talent? Could you share your journey with us?
Seunghun: Back in high school, I attended a dance festival. The feelings I experienced on stage were unlike anything else! Performing to music was so much fun, it was unforgettable.
4. You spend countless hours practicing. As dancers, how do you prepare for a concert tour?
Seunghun: Our preparation process is definitely long… but once we reach the point where our movements sync perfectly during practice, it’s incredibly rewarding and fun.
5. Something I’ve always wondered: you spend long hours on stage and travel across many countries. Naturally, that must disrupt your eating habits. How do you cope with this?
Seunghun: Of course, the irregular lifestyle can be physically challenging at times. But discovering each country’s unique cuisine and culture gives me fresh energy and excitement again.
6. Do you remember your very first time on stage? How did it make you feel?
Seunghun: I was so nervous, and I just rushed out onto the stage… I think that performance was filled with so many funny moments, hahaha.
7. Which idols have you worked with so far?
Seunghun: Ah!!! Honestly, too many to count…
8. If you weren’t a dancer, what profession would you have chosen?
Seunghun: I’ve actually never really thought about that… but I’m definitely not someone who can sit still ㅋㅋㅋㅋ (hahaha). So I’d probably be working somewhere in the arts, haha.
9. What is your goal for the future?
Seunghun: My aim is to stay devoted to the work I’m given and to reach higher levels through dance.


10. What advice would you give to someone just starting out in dance?
Seunghun: I believe dance is about expressing what you want to express. Instead of worrying too much, just do what you truly want to do
11. What do you think is the hardest part of being a dancer?
Seunghun: The instability of the profession can definitely be challenging.
12. Could you walk us through your choreography process? What inspires you?
Seunghun: I usually focus on whether the movement flows naturally with the music and lyrics. Honestly, I don’t rely on much inspiration, I just enjoy dancing the way I want, haha.
13. Have you ever been to Turkiye before? What are your thoughts about it?
Seunghun: Ah! It’s actually one of the countries I really want to visit! I’ve heard the landscapes are beautiful, and I’d love to see them with my own eyes. Plus, aren’t we considered brother nations? Haha.
14. Do you plan to visit Turkiye one day? If so, what would you like to try or see first?
Seunghun: Definitely! I’d love to try authentic Turkish kebab and stroll down a street where I can really soak in the atmosphere of Turkiye.
15. Lastly, what would you like to say to your Turkish fans who love and support you, and who will be reading this interview?
Seunghun: Thank you so much for your support. Every time I receive it, it truly gives me strength. I’m really grateful!
