Hwang Chansung Interview

1. First of all, hello and welcome! Hello, dear Chansung! Could you please introduce yourself to the White Entertainment readers?

Hwang Chansung: Hi, I’m Chansung from 2PM! It’s an honor to greet all of you, White Entertainment subscribers.

2. After filming Bloodhounds 2, you performed concerts with 2PM in places such as Japan and Korea. You’ve been incredibly active lately! Could you tell us a little about what you’ve been up to recently?

Hwang Chansung: After wrapping up 2PM’s Korea concert in August, I’ve been busy with schedules in Japan, filming my next project, and prepping for another one after that.

3. Your fight scenes in Bloodhounds 2 received a lot of attention and even went viral! How did you prepare for those scenes? What was the most challenging part of the preparation process?

Hwang Chansung: I started prepping back in July 2024 — about five months of personal training, plus stunt training roughly twice a week. Since it was my first time doing action scenes, I worked through a bunch of different techniques and trained specifically to make my movements read well on camera. Timing and coordination matter so much in choreography, so I kept training all through filming too. Honestly, the hardest part was just making the action look sharp and convincing on screen.

6. When you first debuted, did you ever imagine that you would come this far and achieve this level of success? Looking back now, how do you feel about everything you’ve accomplished?

Hwang Chansung: I find myself thinking, ‘Wow, I’ve really done a lot over the years.’ All of it, every bit of it, is what made me who I am today.

7. Of course, there must have been times when you felt exhausted, hurt, or as if you had reached a dead end. How did you manage to get back on your feet during those moments? What was your greatest source of motivation?

Hwang Chansung: Those moments come more often than you’d think. Every time, I’d ask myself, ‘What’s going to change if I just stay down here?’ and come to the answer, ‘Better get up and do something.’ That’s what always got me back on my feet.

8. Is there a particular type of role that you would definitely like to play in one of your upcoming projects?

Hwang Chansung: A full-on villain.

9. And now, could you share a little TMI with the White Entertainment readers?

Turns out I have more allergies than I realized… milk and so on…

10. Ah, now let’s talk a little about Türkiye! Have you ever visited Türkiye before? Or have you ever tried any Turkish food?

Hwang Chansung: I went to Antalya last May for a Korean golf variety show. The area’s packed with world-class golf courses and I got to try kebabs and köfte. I’d love to try baklava next. Türkiye is so well known for its food that I’d honestly go back just for a food tour.
