Song Joong Ki, Shin Hyun Been and Lee Sung Min’s Upcoming Drama Announced the Cast and Release Schedule!
Song Joong Ki, Shin Hyun Been, and Lee Sung Min’s upcoming drama “Reborn Rich” has shared details of its cast and broadcast schedule!
Based on a hit web novel, “Reborn Rich” is a fantasy drama about Yoon Hyun Woo (Song Joong Ki), the secretary of a chaebol family during the turbulent 80s, being reborn as Jin Do Joon, the youngest son of the family.
Song Joong Ki will play Yoon Hyun Woo, who died after being accused of embezzlement by the Sunyang Group family to whom he was loyal. He is reborn as Jin Do Joon, the youngest son of the family, and tries to take over the company as revenge.
Lee Sung Min was previously confirmed for the role of Jin Yang Chul, the president of Sunyang Group. Jin Yang Chul is a fiercely competitive and tough character who, after growing up in poverty, climbs to the top of the financial world and is relentlessly competitive with endless ambition for money.
Shin Hyun Been will play the role of Seo Min Young, a prosecutor who comes from a prestigious and respected family and works to fight corruption. Seo Min Young, nicknamed “the scourge of Sunyang Group”, will push the limits of obeying the law for the sake of serving justice.
In addition, Yoon Je Moon will play the role of Jin Yang Chul’s eldest son Jin Young Ki, while Kim Jung Nan will play Jin Young Ki’s wife Son Jung Rae, who has a typical chaebol mentality and a careless personality. Jo Han Chul will take on the role of Jin Dong Ki, Jin Yang Chul’s second eldest son who is adept at using his brain for little tricks. Seo Jae Hee will play Yoo Ji Na, Jin Dong Ki’s wife from an elite family. Kim Young Jae has been confirmed to play Jin Yoon Ki, Jin Do Joon’s father and Jin Yang Chul’s third son. Jung Hye Young will transform into Lee Hae In, a former star and Jin Do Joon’s mother. Kim Hyun will play Lee Pil Ok, the wife of Jin Yang Chul, one of the founders of the Sunyang Empire.
Kim Shin Rok will take on the role of Jin Hwa Young, Jin Yang Chul’s daughter, while Kim Do Hyun will play Choi Chang Je, Jin Hwa Young’s husband, who is called “male Cinderella”. Park Hyuk Kwon will play the role of Oh Se Hyun, Jin Do Joon’s partner. Kim Nam Hee will play Jin Sung Joon, the heir of Sunyang Group, and Park Ji Hyun will take on the role of Mo Hyun Min, who was chosen as his arranged marriage partner. Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany will appear as Oh Se Hyun’s right-hand woman Rachel.
The production team said, “Reborn Rich’ is the story of the life of a man who was on the verge of death but resurrected in 1987 as the youngest son of a chaebol family, starting from scratch. It is a project set in a special fantasy world with retro inspirations. None of the characters are ordinary and each has their own greed and narratives. The relationships of these carefully woven characters at the peak of a revolutionary time will delight the audience on another level.” He explained. Another important detail about the series is the completion of the shooting in Turkey! In April 2022, the series team, including Song Joong Ki, came to Turkey and filmed here. Reborn Rich, some of the filming was done in Turkey, will be broadcast on JTBC in the second half of 2022.
